There are many types of bar dentures. Includes locator abutments, dolder bar, hayder bar, clip or ball type attachments, Bar dentures are a mix between Fixed-Removable restoration dentures and implants. While they can be removed by the patient for hygiene, they feel fixed in the mouth to the patient. Bars are fabricated of titanium or cobalt-chrome using CAD-CAM milling machine. These are generally made of acrylic with metal frame work supported and with the higher quality bars using natural looking teeth and gums. They can provide proper lip support and with the horse shoe shape that patient will have the sensation of the temperature and taste while eating.
