Prosthetics

A denture is a removable prosthetic intended to replace missing teeth and their surrounding tissue. They are made of Acrylic (plastic), Metal (Co-Cr), Flexible (nylon) to closely resemble your natural teeth and will enhance your smile.

There are two types of dentures – complete and partial dentures. Complete dentures are used when all of your teeth are missing, while partial dentures are used when some of your natural teeth remain. A partial denture not only fills in the space created by missing teeth, it prevents other teeth from shifting.

A complete denture may be either “conventional” or “immediate.” A conventional type is made after the teeth have been removed and the gum tissue has healed, usually taking 4 to 6 weeks. During this time the patient will go without teeth. Immediate dentures are made in advance and immediately placed after the teeth are removed, thus preventing the patient from having to be without teeth during the healing process. Once the tissues shrink and heal, adjustments will be made to the prosthetic. Because of his focus on aesthetic dentistry, coupled with the advanced technologies available today.

Telescopic & Attachments

Telescopic denture technology began in 1886 and has more than 120 years of history. This technology has evolved and gone through many revisions to become the most precise and most highly regarded denture technology today.

An attachment is a precision-machined male and female (key and lock) housing that connects a removable partial denture to fixed bridgework.

Mouth Guards & Retainers

Mouthguards are used to reduce sports related tooth injuries.  They help to minimize the risk of broken teeth and injuries to your lips, tongue, face or jaw.

Nightguards are recommended for people who clench, grind or have severely worn teeth.  People who grind or clench their teeth may wake in the morning with a headache, earache or toothache.  The dental retainer will be molded and shaped to custom fit your mouth.

The retainers are individually designed to prevent teeth from reverting to their original positions. Retainers can take the form of a removable appliance or a fixed wire bonded at the back of your front teeth.
